hey everyone! guess what? XD im back from OBS-OUTWARD BOUND SINGAPORE haha. yea. my overall feeling for obs was fun, satisfied with the achievements and enjoyable and maybe abit tahan-able XD yea. so to jrs and those who haven been to obs yet.. it will be fun and i think u will enjoy it. ^^ so first thing first day1!!!

DAY 1 OF OBS- 12/5/08
so first day went to obs. was like yea.. dreading abt all the stuff. they started with talking about the stuff like how u yrself are going to enjoy obs. are u like gonna take it postively or negatively.. yea. its up to you ^^ that really change my thoughts abt obs alot is like. u should enjoy obs not like taking it as if it is a very bad thing. yea. ^^
we met our instructors and we played this rope game. it took us 5 mins to pass through 2 ppl at the first place but we mananged to complete it in 8 mins for 16
ppl. yea. so till then i understood how impt teamwork is all about ^^ and i was very happy.
after which we went to pack all our equipments and my no. was 16. the last one XD haha. yea. and then after that the amt of food they gave was like totally alot. u can like eat alone for abt 3 weeks? XD haha. yea. its like 3 full cans of food.
we went to have this trust fall thing and its like falling from behind onto the mat with yr mates pulling it. yea. so its like if u trust yr mates u fall. XD lol. sth like that. then we went to belay. and it was dam pain when u come down can. lol. yea. really.
pitching tent was horrible at the first place. we pitched this tent with a spoilt mosquito net zipper. >< so abigail, cynthia, smitha and i slept in it for day one. yea. but we didnt get any bites. and it is so freaking hot in the tent. XD
before that went to bathe and the cubicle was flooded. lol. like really until abit higher than yr ankle length XD and then my slippers were like floating while i was bathing XD haha. yea. so thats bout it. not really alot of activities at the first day.

DAY 2 OF OBS- 13/5/08
we made our way to campsite 1 and we met some hwa chong guys climbing the thing. lol. i dunno whats that called. XD yea. should i say lucky? or should i say bad? but anw i think i will call it bad. they have bunk beds. lol. yea. cos they have no skills in pitching a tent XD lol. =x yea. and then i think they are doing residential obs. ours is mobile which means moving from campsite to campsite. theirs jus stay there. that time my sis one was the residential. yea.
we went for a climbing activity. and we had to climb for our dinner. it was like ready cooked food with ice cold drink. u do not know how much we were craving for ice cold drink XD. and then chelsea was like 'coke!!!' haha. yea.
i didnt manage to climb to the top of the thing. yea. was kinda sad. and i really got admired and inspired by jie ying. her hands were very pain but she tried a total of 3 times to get up. T.T but she didnt. to get to the top i mean. yea. and i admired her courage and how she wanted to reach to the top and accomplished the task that was given to all of us. yea. really did. :D
after that we went to did kayaking. ^^ one of my fave activity. haha. yea. i sat with abigail and we had some time practicing how to kayak. it was very confusing at first but we managed to get like the next day XD haha. and we did capsizing. it was a horrible experience. the sea water all go inside and then u cannot really prepare when ure gonna topple. yea. very wet.
when drying ourself, my shoes seriously stink. and it was very very wet. =.= smelt of sea. and then we had troubled finding our ground sheet and then had a hard time trying to pitch the tents and stuff. it was very irritating. >< but we mananged to complete it. ^^

DAY 3 OF OBS- 14/5/08
early in the morning we had a shoe war. it was kinda sucky as our shoes totally stink
lol. yea. and then at first our watch won with a total no. of shoes snatched. 47!!! XD and then after that i had time finding my shoes. lol. cos it was like totally buried underneath the pile of shoes. yea.
sea expedition!!! our navigator was christabel, left side was chan yen, right side was jia fu and our behind was atrillan yea. and before that when we were like all prepare to set off there was a sudden warning of cat 1. which means likely to get struck by lightining yea. and then all of us went back to the mph to shelter ourselves.
after that we went to kayak and it was very tiring already. it started to rain very heavily and then we went to land to seek shelter with our ponchos. before they gave us our ponchos cook was playing 7-up XD lol. it was very funny as it test our muliples of 7? XD haha. yea.
and then it was very late already and after that we had to travel the 1/4 way. and then we paddle paddle paddle. trying very hard. and then when we had a break. miro was the first to pee in the sea. XD lol. and it was very funny. yea.
we finally reached our campsite and we quickly pitched our tents and sutff with the rocks. cos the ground was too hard to pushed the pegs in. yea. and then very funny. this part. mus read
so it jus happen that it was very dark and all of us were packing our stuff. changing yea. and then some how this happens.
jie ying: AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! (SCREAM)
*run and went to hug janice*
jie ying: GET THAT THING AWAY FROM MY LEG!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

and guess what it was the plaster on her leg XD LOL! and she thought it was a leech. yea. its very funny. XD and its like everyone was staring at her like what in the world happen. XD yea. so went to sleep. ok next day.

DAY 4 OB OBS- 15/5/08
early in the morning, smitha and i went behind a bush with a shit digger. lol. ok. and it was very funny. and jia fu and rubing came along after us. haha. and smitha and i was like laughing all along when we were shitting. XD yea.
after that we packed and ate breakfast. and we started with our land expedition. our first checkpoint was at chek jawa there. and it was very tiring for me at the first place. cos we trek, we climb steep slopes, carrying our super heavy backpack. yea. and then the check jawa scenery was quite nice. ^^ yea.
felt more energetic after lunch and managed not to lag behind after that. oh ya. we didnt manage to find the first checkpoint. so it was very sad >< we had a hard time trying to find it but couldnt. we have to hurry because of the time constraint. yea. and then for the 2nd checkpoint andy gave us a choice whether to go and find a check point or do a task. he didnt tell us what the task was but so we went to do the task. and it was quite good. as it was QUARRY JUMP!!! it is equals to fresh water jump rather than jetty jump. yea. and we had a fun time swimming around and enjoying the fresh water. and then the task came. we were suppose to perform for andy in the quarry. yea. its like we imprompt created a cook dance together with the cook dance. dam funny XD yea.
after that we left the quarry and then we continued to trek to find the rest of the checkpoints. yea. and the checkpoints were easier to find. and we finally reached our campsite. ^^ so happy and achieved~~~~ yay! haha. and then cynthia, abigail, smitha and i went like super hyper while we were pitching our tents and smitha kept speaking in her accent. XD lol. yea.
and we managed to have a nice dinner with andy ^^. yea. he made apple crumble for us. it was very nice and we had sudden attack from the flies. =.= thats dam gross. and chelsea, abigail and i kept stepping on them to prevent them from flying into our food XD lol. yea. we cooked until super late. and we had a late shower. but it was quite good. ^^

DAY 5 OF OBS- 16/5/08
woke up later. cos andy allowed us to have extension. yea. so we were suppose to meet him at 630 am. yea. and then we went to have morning activities with columbus and we did the dodo dance and then long winded scissors paper stone game XD lol. was dam cheater at the end cos andy won. =.= yea.
after that we had our breakfast with andy and packed our equipments. very tiring and when we managed to pack everything our bags are super light and was feeling quite glad to go home. yea. ^^
andy returned us our valuables and he told us his last story. was very emo. i cried. lol. as always and expected. XD and i hope we can together as a watch meet up together again. yupx.
andy is a very special person. he inspired me and taught us alot of values and stuff. i really admired his knowlegde and how he taught us to do things and stuff. and i wished him all the best! ^^

so bascially thats bout. it u really read finish my 5 days at obs. i would like to thank you. XD haha. and i spent nearly 1 hr blogging abt it. i suppose its alright. ^^
